The GOB01 features a variable speed control dial that rotates the sanding pad 6,000-10,000 OPM (oscillations per minute) for smoother finish sanding. The 3/16” orbit diameter provides a swirl-free finish. It was engineered to have an ultra-low profile with superior ergonomics. It features up to 41% less vibrations for reduced operator fatigue. The 6” Random Orbit Sander delivers up to 48 minutes of continuous sanding using one 40V XGT® 4.0Ah battery (battery sold separately). It also features five-speed power selection that enables the operator to match the speed to the application. Convenience features include a lock-on slide trigger switch for the added convenience of continuous operation, up to 30% less weight for reduced operator fatigue, and up to 260 linear feet per charge. It also features soft start, and constant speed control which is capable of handling demanding sanding applications.The GOB01 features an efficient through-the-pad dust collection system with a built-in dust port and an easy connection to the Makita vacuum system for a cleaner work environment. It is also equipped with the Auto-start Wireless System (AWS®) uses Bluetooth technology to power wireless on-off communication between the tool and dust extractor (Auto-start Wireless Transmitter, part no. 198901-5 sold separately).
